14/082026Anonymous - Fraudulent call claiming to be from the Barclays fraud team. They had already made a £250 transaction on my debit card, then called saying my card and account needed to be cancelled. They told me to go to a Barclays branch, withdraw £5,000 in cash to “keep it safe from the scammers”, take it home, and deposit it into a new account the next day. I refused and later contacted the genuine Barclays fraud team, who confirmed it was a scam. I also received a text from 07380 283759 asking me to call back. Avoid this number and contact Barclays directly using an official number if you receive a similar call.
