First time this year I've got one of these scam calls after 6pm. Indian man mentioned my name I said 'yes how can I help you? . He wouldn't answer then after about ten seconds he hung up.
We had the same, we told we are hanging up and got told they will set up there system to call our company every minute until we take there call, very rude man and at the end of it wanted our account number, this wasn't handed over, we get at least three of these calls every week, I will only deal with BG direct with our account manager no one else, there number is now blocked from our system
They keep calling saying they are from British Gas, (indian lady called Catherine and we have had rebecca called 5 times with a very strong indian accent as well) wanting to send one of their engineers to check our meter, total scam as we have spoken directly to British gas who have no issue with our meter/billing, apparently they try to get the details and then sell our details on to another energy supplier and reap the benefits British gas have stated, do not fall victim.
