Phill D - I don't answer calls from numbers not in my phone memory - I let the answerphone take them. If it's a genuine caller they will leave a message.
When my answerphone kicked in all I heard was a loud tone for a couple of seconds then they hung up.
I should not be getting such calls as I'm on the telephone preference list but somehow these idiots circumvent it!

Anonymous - Trying to make appointment to get into my home. Lying woman hung up when I questioned her. Reported to TPS and blocked.
