Caller said I qualify for a personal alarm due to health conditions. Name of company, "medical" something. I was suspicious but the conversation we had confirmed it must be a scam. He said he needed to check I was over 65 as only people over 65 qualify for this and could I give him my date of birth. [So why did he say at the beginning that I do qualify if he doesn't know my age?] I said that he should have my personal details already and asked how much it cost. He said the alarm was free but there was a monthly rate of £29 (or something like that) for its operation. Now convinced it was either illegal cold calling (I'm TPS registered) or a scam. I said I would contact my GP@ about it, and hung up.
